Dr. Muyungi is the Presidential Envoy and a global diplomat and expert in climate change with over 35 years of extensive experience, working within the government of Tanzania, UN, NGOs, academia, and the private sector.

Mr. Ali Mohamed

2024-2025 Chair

Mr. Ali Mohamed is an environment and development expert with over 30 years of experience in the public service of Kenya and has strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of the interlinkages between environment and development from both international and national perspectives. He will lead the AGN in advancing Africa's climate agenda in 2024.
